Shit that you're not proud of or maybe just a little proud. I once jump started a car with the cables crossed and blew a bunch of fuses. I also accidentally jumped my Firebird at 85 mph. Anyone else?

When I was a kid, I was pulled over by an ordinary police patrol car, and told that he couldn't give me a ticket because he wasn't a traffic cop, but I should slow down. A lot.

I was on I-80 about 100 miles from home, and I accidentally almost ran my choir teacher, who coincidentally was on the same stretch of highway at the same time, off the road. He didn't know it was me until I got back to school the following Monday, at which point I told him that the guy who almost hit him was me. He thought it was hilarious.

Was in a rush in high school to finish my intake manifold swap with school the next morning, it ran way over because I couldn't get to some of the damn bolts, and in my sleep-deprived state I swapped a coolant and vacuum line....
Thankfully I noticed it was running like crap, didn't push it, and figured it out before anything went terribly wrong.

I once tied a few batteries together to weld up some bits we broke on the road.
I have bald tires on my truck and I'm a mechanic who can replace them with no issue...
I have jumped almost every car I have ever owned at least once.

during our 4th LeMons race we brought the car in for a tire change. I checked the oil and it was a little low. I grabbed a bottle and dumped it in only to realize it was power steering fluid. Bonus oil change! Car ran fine by the way.
Severely dented the oil pan by driving straight up on a curb during an early date with my wife when we were in high school. It was my 68 Mustang and the dent is still there.
I took my drivers test in a 1988 Caviler during a flood. There was about 8 inches of water everywhere. Easiest parallel parking test ever.

I am absolutely crap when it comes to wrenching.
I mean, I know enough, and I can be a quick learner, but I am prone to clumsiness and bouts of extreme bad luck.

I did the same thing with metro jump starting, but I didn't have cables at the time, and used my optima battery from the jeep, upsidedown (and backwards), and blew the main fuse. After I realized it was backwards I swapped in a penny in place of the fuse (it was like 10:30, best time to work on cars) and drive 100 miles to work next day & after work bought a battery and main fuse.

I drive unlicensed, I know that's a bad idea, but I'm a decent driver and usually only drive at early morning hours when nobody is around.

First one was a jump start and the second one was the real flying deal.

I spun a bearing on my first car, a 2000 Corolla, because I waited too long to do an oil change (it was getting close to 8,000 miles). I do my own oil changes, and I knew that I was going to long without it. Driving like a jackass on my way home from a buddy's one morning and all of a sudden things went seriously wrong. lol

working on my friends miata. When i had to swap out his short shift kit to oem. The gasket keeping the trans fluid from leaking out the top was completely gone in the oem stuff. Put it back together without it... He sold that car the following week. We also used metal pipes and hammers to "roll" his fenders...

Once went 12,000 miles without an oil change when I drove my parents Trailblazer. Still runs to this day and the new owner is still happy with it 2 years later.
Face planted my 4Runner in a ditch due to the fact I thought it would be fun to drift an ice covered mountain road in 2WD. The Yota is unscathed.
Injured my back when I was 15 when I had a Subaru BRAT and thought I was a rally driver.

I didn't really realize how important preventative maintenance was when I was a kid. I drove my Miata about 30k miles before it even occurred to me that I might need to change the oil. The awesome car didn't give me a bit of trouble, and to my knowledge it's still running around the Denver area to this day. And yes, that was a long time ago. I take much better care of my cars now.

I am a student of the Alabama School of Shadetree Mechanics.
Rebuilding an engine? I'm sure those clearances are fine.
Something stuck? Hammer. Something delicate stuck? Block of wood and a hammer.
Bolt not the right size? Swipe one from somewhere else.
Does that mating surface need to be clean? Oh, I blew on it and wiped it up, should be good.
That needs a special tool? Nope, we're going to make an equivalent out of cut-up common tools, held together with masking tape.
Yes, welding with barefeet is acceptable, if it's real quick.
Safety masks get in the way and fog safety glasses, thus they are taken off every 7 minutes and forgotten to put back on again for a half hour.

I have had way way too many car accidents. I totaled my last two cars. My current car was also totaled...however, I ended up repairing it because I could not in good conscience total ANOTHER car.
(No frame damage, just needed a LOT of repairs).
I was driving a car with 4 blown shocks for the last....10k? (maybe more) miles. I have put on a suspension now.
I like the sound of fart cannons.
